The photography group known as SLEEP is comprised primarily by YUKI (the model), Omori Youko (the stylist) and Hirano Fumiko (the director). This was the companion book to a SLEEP art exhibit in 2003. You can view much of SLEEPs work as well as photos of the actual exhibit at their official website.

The book begins with a poem which I have included the English version of below:

Footsteps of Dream

When I reach out my hands in the dark,
Something always grabs me.
It definitely feels like a kick.
It grabs me so tight. It won't let go.
I always get this feeling
When I'm about to fall asleep. / "Who are you?"
100 ants on a sponge / All lined up, waiting.
One by one, / they march slowly into a small hole.
My black-drenched hair / Is all worn out.
Praying for a touch of sunshine.
A smiling face which looks like I'm crying
Seems like asking me to dance.
No matter how much I pray to get away from it,
It just seems like I want to get involved-
With it depper and deeper.
And to tell you the truth, / I know you.
Just a little bit / Just a little bit more.
When was the last time we talked
About picking up flowers
And making a flower crown out of them?
