The title track 'Hummingbird' is a folky song consisting of acoustic guitar and double YUKI vocals singing together in melody and harmony throughout, both on key, or with one vocal lower and slightly off key, and the other right on the mark. The lyrics and chorus are slightly childlike.

   The coupling track 'mikazuki' (crecent moon) is the real gem on this single with a 70's-80's feel and beat. The vocals will throw you unwillingly back to a place that will have you feeling chipper and nostalgic for the rest of the day. The drums are snappy but not annoyingly so, it serves up the beat and is highlighted by periodic background handclaps. YUKI has some background vocals support making this song a friendly, foot tapping track.
